We will introduce an interpreter who will help you when you’re having communication trouble between languages. For example,

Consecutive Interpretation
Interpretation at Manmaru Akashi is done using the “consecutive interpretation” method. This means that the original language will be spoken in short segments, then translated into the target language. This allows for a more accurate translation of the intended meaning, but it means the conversation will take longer.

- Areas where an accompanying interpreter can be provided: the Kinki region (Hyogo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Wakayama, and Shiga)
- Areas where an in-country interpreter can be provided: Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam

Cost for Accompanying Interpreter
Interpretation is available from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. If you use the interpreter beyond these hours, an additional fee will be required.

- Please pay the interpreter’s transportation expenses from their home to the location where they are needed.
- The “working hours” for an accompanying interpreter is the time that they spend with you.
- If the working time for the interpreter is 8 hours, then they need to get a 1-hour break time.
- For the On-Site Interpreter for Tourists, if requested we can send a tour guide who is a national government-licensed guide interpreter.
- If the interpretation is more difficult, then an extra fee will be required.
- For the Attending Interpreter for Public Institutions, Manmaru Akashi will check over the details of the required assistance. If we determine that an interpreter really is necessary, then we will do the work at the cost shown above.

- The charges for calling on the phone are separate, so please cover them yourself.
- We will determine where the interpreter will work from. If you have a request where you want the interpreter to go, then there will be an extra charge.

Manmaru Akashi translates documents that foreigners need to live their lives in Japan. We can also translate documents that companies need to communicate overseas. If there’s something you want to communicate through text, then please contact us!

- Time required for translation: One week or more (for a document of roughly 1,000 Japanese characters in length).
