Akashi Will Be Sending Out “Akashi City Support Tickets” to Everyone Who Lives in the City

“Akashi City Support Tickets” are tickets that can be used like money.  Akashi will be sending them out to everyone who lives in the city.  They will be sent out from September 21st until October 31st.

Prices for food and gas are increasing, and higher prices are making things difficult for everyone.  These “support tickets” are being sent out to help the people of Akashi.

By using these tickets to go shopping, you can also do your part to help out stores across Akashi City.

Value:  2000 yen per person (there will be 4 tickets, each worth 500 yen)

Period When Tickets Can Be Used:  The tickets can be used from October 1st, 2023 until December 31st, 2023.

Where The Tickets Can Be Used:  The tickets can be used in restaurants, stores, and taxis all over Akashi.  When Akashi City sends you the tickets, they will also include a paper that lists what businesses will accept the support tickets.  You can also look at the Akashi City website to see what businesses will accept the tickets.

The stores that allow you to use tickets will display a poster.  Look at the following picture.  If you see a poster just like the one in the picture, you can use support tickets at that business!

The support tickets will be sent via Yu-Pack.  “Yu-Pack” is the Japanese Postal Service’s way of delivering small packages.  There will be enough in the envelope for the entire family.  To accept the package, you will have to give a stamp with your hanko or give your signature.

If you happen to be away from home when they try to deliver the support tickets, then they will leave a “Unable to Deliver Package” (不在連絡票) notice in your mailbox.  This notice will explain how you can ask them to re-deliver the package to you.  Please contact them via telephone or internet and set up a date and time for them to deliver to you again.

If you have any questions about this article, please contact the “Akashi Support Ticket Supervisor.”  Their phone number is 078-918-5066.  Their fax number is 078-918-5136.
