Akashi Will Be Sending Out “Akashi City Support Tickets” to Everyone Who Lives in the City

“Akashi City Support Tickets” are tickets that can be used like money.  Akashi will be sending them out to everyone who lives in the city, and they will arrive by October 31st.

The support tickets will be sent via Yu-Pack.  “Yu-Pack” is the Japanese Postal Service’s way of delivering small packages.  There will be enough in the envelope for the entire family.  Akashi will be sending out the support tickets automatically to everyone, so you don’t need to apply or do anything to get Akashi to send them to you.  However, when you accept the package, you will have to give a stamp with your hanko or write your signature.

If you aren’t home when they try to deliver the support tickets, then they will leave a “Unable to Deliver Package” (不在連絡票) notice in your mailbox.  This notice will explain how you can ask them to re-deliver the package to you.  Please contact them via telephone or internet and set up a date and time for them to deliver to you again.

If you have any questions about this article, please contact the “Akashi Support Ticket Supervisor.”  Their phone number is 078-918-5066.  Their fax number is 078-918-5334.

There Will be a “Family Marathon” Event

A “family marathon” is a marathon where parents and children can enjoy running together.

The marathon will be held on November 3rd from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm.  The location will be at the Akashi Seaside Park.  There will be 2 kilometer, 3 kilometer, and 6 kilometer running courses.  The event will still be held even if it rains a little.

Since this is a marathon, don’t worry about trying to run quickly!  Just pick a running course and try your best to make it to the end.  Everyone who reaches the end will be able to join a special lottery.  In this lottery, you have the chance to win all sorts of fun prizes!

Anyone can join, from children to adults.  However, any child who is a 3rd year elementary school student or younger must participate along with a parent or guardian.

The place to register for the marathon will be in front of the Akashi Seaside Park pool.  Registrations will be open on the day of the marathon from 8:00 am until 8:50 am.
