The Akashi Newsletter (Koho Akashi) is a newsletter published by Akashi City. It releases on the 1st and the 15th of each month. There are many announcements in each issue of the Akashi Newsletter. We have selected five of the most important or useful announcements and translated them into English.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

April 15th Announcements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Large and Spacious Park is Now Open to the Public in Uozumi<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A parked named \u201cEveryone\u2019s Park at Uozumi Lake #17\u201d has been completed.  From Saturday, April 29th, the park will be open to the public.  Inside the park are multiple areas and facilities.  The main areas are called \u201cEveryone\u2019s Plaza\u201d, the \u201cGreen Field\u201d, and the \u201cMulti-purpose Field.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At \u201cEveryone\u2019s Plaza\u201d there is an assortment of playground equipment which everyone can use to have a safe and fun time playing various different games.  At the \u201cGreen Field\u201d you can play sports like baseball or ground golf (a special Japanese version of golf).  The \u201cMulti-purpose Field\u201d is a wide and spacious area that is available for all sorts of different events or activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Please note that the Fields have specified hours when they are open for use.\u00a0 They are open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.\u00a0 They cannot be used on the 4th Saturday and Sunday of each month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notifications<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following events will take place on April 29th:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u3000At the Multi-purpose Field, children can ride small horses.
\u2022\u3000At the Green Field, there will be various different ball games.
\u2022\u3000At the Everyone\u2019s Plaza, there will be an event where children\u2019s books will be read out loud for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The time for the events will be from 12:30 pm until 4:30 pm.\u00a0 Anyone is free to participate in the events.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You Can Listen to a Lecture on the Captivating World of Japanese Puppet Theater<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNingyo Joruri\u201d is the name for the unique and traditional style of Japanese theater using puppets.  The foreign lecturer Martin Holman will be giving a talk about the appeal of Ningyo Joruri.  Martin Holman is a member of Tokubeiza, a group that performs puppet theater.  He will be the representative from that group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture will be given completely in English.  Anyone who is of junior high school age or older can participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The date of the lecture will be on Saturday, June 3rd.  It will be from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm.  The location will be at With Akashi (on the 7th floor of the north building of Aspia Akashi).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first 100 people to apply will be able to listen to the lecture.\u00a0

Hospitals That Will Be Open During Golden Week<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During Golden Week (the period of public holidays from April 29th until May 5th), most hospitals and clinics will be closed.\u00a0 If you are sick or injured, please go to one the hospitals or clinics listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
