Akashi City Has Started a LINE Account!

LINE is a social media app that you can view on your smartphone.  Akashi City has started a LINE account, so now you can get access to city information right on your phone!

By checking the Akashi City LINE account, you will be able to easily get information to help you in your everyday life.  You will also be able to get important information in case a disaster occurs.

If you are interested, then please add the Akashi Official LINE account (明石公式LINE) by going to the Add Friends menu in your LINE app.

You can add Akashi City’s account to your friends list by using the QR code to the right.

If you want to search for the Akashi City account on the LINE app instead of using the QR code, then you can go to the Search option on the Add Friends menu and search for the ID:  @akashicity

Then you will be able to add their account.

•Once you have added the Akashi City account, you can choose what specific information you want to receive.

There are various different types of information you can view, such as:

o            Disaster Prevention (防災)

o            Child-rearing (子育て)

o            Events (イベント)

o            Health (健康)

•You can see what days to put out your garbage, as well as the different rules about sorting garbage.

・If you write out the name of the type of garbage you want to throw out, then you can read about how to properly dispose of it.

・You can also receive notifications that tell you about the days when you can put out your garbage to be collected.

Come See the Chrysanthemums in Akashi Park

Chrysanthemums are called 菊 (kiku) in Japanese.  They are a very popular fall flower in Japan.  They are also the official city flower of Akashi.  Every year, there is an exhibition in Akashi Park where you can see many beautiful chrysanthemum flowers.

This year, the exhibition will be held from Saturday, October 26th until Sunday, November 17th.  It does not cost any money to view the exhibition.

You will be able to see lines of chrysanthemum flowers that the people of Akashi and the surrounding towns have lovingly raised.  There are both big and small chrysanthemums, as well as bonsai trees and other beautiful things to see.
