The Akashi Newsletter (Koho Akashi) is a newsletter published by Akashi City. It releases on the 1st and the 15th of each month. There are many announcements in each issue of the Akashi Newsletter. We have selected five of the most important or useful announcements and translated them into English.

Announcements in the April 15th Issue
Information About Clinics That Are Open for the Holidays at the Beginning of May
Time Period: From May 3rd to May 6th. (May 6th will be a substitute holiday because May 4th falls on a Sunday)

Notification for Parents Who Have Children in Elementary School or Junior High School
For the parents or guardians of elementary school/junior high school children in Akashi, you may be able to receive money from Akashi City if you meet the following criteria:
① Due to a lack of money, it is difficult for your child to attend school.
②If your child is part of a special needs class and needs to receive special help for some sort of disability or difficulty.
If you want to receive financial support for the period starting from April, then please be aware of the deadline. If you are applying directly to the school or to the Akashi City service counter, then please apply by June 13th. If you are applying using the computer or your smartphone, then please apply by June 15th. You can apply for financial assistance using the QR code on the right.

If you need financial assistance, you can apply for it even outside of the April period. For more information, please get some papers explaining the details from the school that your child attends.

If Your Child Is Sick or Injured and You Aren’t Sure What to Do, You Can Call These Phone Numbers Even at Night to Get Help or Advice
If your child is sick or injured and you aren’t sure whether to take them to a hospital or if there is something you can do for them at home, then you can call this number to get advice from a nurse. If you need to take your child to a hospital, then they will be able to introduce you to the right clinic or hospital to go to.
